In Flow, a captivating women's photography retreat crafted by Avery Swail and Michelle Van Dijk. Aimed at empowering women to reconnect with their true essence while fostering a profound sisterhood.

Throughout In Flow, we embark on a transformative week together, delving deep into both our inner landscapes and the beauty of the world around us, enrich- ing our communities and expanding our portfolios. We collaborate with likeminded brands, offering photographers the opportunity to not only enhance their portfolios but also provide brands with compelling imagery curated by Michelle, Avery, and our diverse guest community. Each retreat features carefully selected agency models, harmonious medicine women, talented musicians, and skilled yoga and pilates instructors, creating a holistic experience that honors the interconnectedness of our inner and outer realms.

Avery Swail

Avery Swail is a Canadian film fashion photographer, mentor, and producer who embodies a life devoted to capturing authentic connections and innate beauty. Beyond photography, she co-manages In flow, mentoring aspiring photographers globally. Avery’s mantra, “Create art. Spread love,” defines her journey, using photography to authentically honour individuals and places. Driven by a passion for purposeful creation, she captures each shot with intention, leading with love and grace.

She leads with her passion for community and has hosted over 14 retreats globally, bringing women together to break down walls and barriers, fostering deeper connections with themselves and each other. A firm believer that life is best led together. 

Michelle van Dijk

A Dutch-born, South African-raised photographer, Michelle has a passion for capturing natural beauty and connections. Despite her young age, she boasts over 10 years of experience. Her love for photography began when her grandfather gave her her first camera. Today, she excels at turning strangers into friends through her lens.Michelle connects effortlessly with people of all cultures, genders, and races. She loves exploring new cultures and inviting others to share in the experience. Specializing in location shooting with natural light, she primarily shoots on film, setting her work apart. Her passion takes her around the world, falling in love with each place and muse she encounters.

Michelle finds raw, relatable beauty in everyone and strives to help them see it in themselves. She advocates for the beauty of Vitiligo and Albinism, receiving recognition for her "Work of Contrast" project, which was exhibited in Miami.
